چکیده
We prove some general density statements about the subgroup of invertible points on intermediate jacobians; namely those points in the Abel-Jacobi image of nullhomologous algebraic cycles on projective algebraic manifolds.

Arithmetic and Geometry of Algebraic Varieties with Special Emphasis on Calabi–yau Varieties and Mirror Symmetry
Chen, Xi (University of Alberta) Xiao’s Conjecture on Canonically Fibered Surfaces Abstract: In 1988, Gang Xiao proposed a list of open problems on algebraic surfaces. Many of these remain open to this day. One of the problems concerns the maximal relative genus of a canonically fibered surface. In this talk, I will talk about my proof of this conjecture. Garcia, Natalia (Queen’s University) Cu...
متن کاملThe Minimum and Maximum Number of Rational Points on Jacobian Surfaces over Finite Fields
We give some bounds on the numbers of rational points on abelian varieties and jacobians varieties over finite fields. The main result is that we determine the maximum and minimum number of rational points on jacobians varieties of dimension 2.
متن کاملLarge Torsion Subgroups of Split Jacobians of Curves of Genus Two or Three
We construct examples of families of curves of genus 2 or 3 over Q whose Jacobians split completely and have various large rational torsion subgroups. For example, the rational points on a certain elliptic surface over P of positive rank parameterize a family of genus-2 curves over Q whose Jacobians each have 128 rational torsion points. Also, we find the genus-3 curve 15625(X + Y 4 + Z)− 96914...

متن کاملJacobians of Noncommutative Motives
In this article one extends the classical theory of (intermediate) Jacobians to the “noncommutative world”. Concretely, one constructs a Q-linear additive Jacobian functor N 7→ J(N) from the category of noncommutative Chow motives to the category of abelian varieties up to isogeny, with the following properties: (i) the first de Rham cohomology group of J(N) agrees with the subspace of the odd ...
